Job Title: Client Service Intern

Location: Hybrid (one to two days in-office per week in Chapel Hill, NC)

Duration: Temporary role beginning on Monday, August 26th, 2024, concluding on December 31, 2024

Compensation: $15/hour

Your Role: As the Client Service Intern, you will support client accounts for rAVe [STORYTELLING], a strategic communications and publication relations brand of rAVe. The ideal candidate is someone who is reliable, responsible and an effective communicator. This role will consult with many employees and interface directly with multiple clients; it is expected that the successful candidate represents our company to the highest standard.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Organize and prepare for meetings, including gathering documents and attending to logistics of meetings
  • Answer and respond to phone calls, communicate messages and information to the Director of Communications
  • Gather feedback on deliverables, such as press releases and case studies, from clients and report to the Director of Communications 
  • Monitor press coverage and build press coverage reports with clearly defined performance indicators
  • Build press lists utilizing media software and pitching and distributing news to media outlets
  • Manage content and updates for customer and internal touch points, participating in events, documenting business processes, and providing additional communications support

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Business, Communication, Journalism, Public Relations or Marketing with a graduation conferral date between June 2025 and June 2026
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills 
  • Experience that involves direct interaction with a client
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and set priorities within tight timelines
  • Good attitude and impeccable work ethic
  • Providing superior customer service skills by responding to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner 
  • Ability to gather clear, detailed meeting notes and action items
  • Experience working with multiple teams, departments, organizations, etc.  
  • Excellent attention to detail which includes strong  writing, editing, proofreading, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work calmly and professionally under deadline 
  • Flexible thinking and proactive engagement
  • Experience using Google Suite, Muck Rack or similar software tools is a plus
