Essential Responsibilities 
  • Assist with preparing and posting approved monthly journal entries.
  • Prepare and file monthly/quarterly sales tax returns and other tax-related filings such as heavy equipment taxes to ensure timely payment and processing.
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual audits for accounting and accounts payable departments.
  • Reconcile and maintain fixed assets, excluding rental equipment.
  • Support month-end closing processes and ensure accuracy in accruals.
  • Record daily cash transactions and manage fuel cards, credit card records, and expense reports.
  • Organize, update, and review financial records for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist the Corporate Controller with special projects as needed.
  • Maintain and update monthly prepaid amortization records.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent professional experience required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL and e-Emphasys preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor with a forward-looking approach to work.
