Introduction:


As a Curriculum Coach at The Learning Experience of Davenport , you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of young children by supporting the development and implementation of a comprehensive and engaging curriculum. You will work closely with our team of educators to ensure that our curriculum meets the developmental needs of children, fosters a love for learning, and promotes their overall growth and well-being.


Responsibilities:


  1. Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the Director and teaching staff to design, evaluate, and refine a developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with the center's philosophy, goals, and state standards .
  2. Instructional Support: Provide ongoing guidance, training, and support to teachers on curriculum implementation, including activity planning, classroom setup, and age-appropriate learning experiences.
  3. Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Use our assessment tools and procedures to track children's progress and development. Analyze assessment data to identify areas for improvement and inform curriculum adjustments.
  4. Individualized Learning Plans: Work with teachers to create individualized learning plans for children with diverse needs.
  5. Professional Development: Lead workshops, training sessions, and staff meetings to enhance teachers' knowledge and skills in curriculum development, early childhood education best practices, and child development theory.
  6. Parent Engagement: Foster positive relationships with parents and families by providing resources, workshops, and guidance on how to support children's learning and development at home.
  7. Classroom Observations and Feedback: Conduct regular classroom observations to provide feedback, coaching, and support to teachers. Offer constructive suggestions for improving instructional practices and promoting positive behavior management techniques.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working in a daycare center or early childhood education setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles, early learning standards, and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, parents, and administrators.
  • Knowledge of state licensing regulations and accreditation standards for daycare centers (if applicable).
  • Commitment to creating a culturally responsive and inclusive learning environment for all children and families.
