JOB PURPOSE:

Create and implement a flexible program and classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth. Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with established guidelines. Build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. Inspire students to acquire skills, positive attitudes, and knowledge to lay a solid educational foundation tailored to individual abilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Present subject matter effectively to optimize learning opportunities.
  • Review student records to understand each student's needs.
  • Strive to enhance each student's educational achievement.
  • Demonstrate a variety of student learning modalities in lessons.
  • Utilize diagnostic assessments to gauge student learning.
  • Maintain accurate student records.
  • Assess student strengths and weaknesses regularly, providing tailored activities and progress reports.
  • Refer students with potential learning issues to appropriate support.
  • Assign lessons, evaluate student work, and coordinate educational field trips.
  • Prepare students for state-mandated achievement assessments.

Provide a Classroom Environment Conducive to Learning

  • Ensure a clean, safe classroom with student work displays.
