RPI Inc. is seeking a motivated Shipping/Receiving Technician to join our growing team. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management, shipment processing, and receiving operations. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize strong organizational skills to control inventory, perform cycle counts, and make adjustments using warehouse management software (WMS).
- Pack outgoing shipments to ensure safe arrival and prepare accurate shipping documentation using designated carrier platforms (e.g., UPS/FedEx).
- Conduct thorough inspections of all incoming manufactured items, verifying accuracy to blueprints and ensuring received quantities match purchase orders.
- Complete all necessary documentation associated with shipments and receipts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Safely operate equipment commonly used in warehouse settings, including forklifts (with proper certification).
- Demonstrate proficiency in using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and rulers.
Qualifications/Competencies:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving environment.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and willingness to learn new software programs.
- Adaptability and a flexible work style to handle changing priorities.
- Ability to work overtime when necessary (rarely but paid at time and a half).
