The Facilities Manager ensures the operation and maintenance of all building components and maintains service related warranties and maintenance schedules. The person in this role is responsible for conducting regular inspections of all areas of VadaTech facilities. This includes managing service providers for: electrical, HVAC, building access control, landscaping, housekeeping, etc... Performs assessment and oversight of installations, inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting. Works with the manufacturing management team for equipment installations, maintenance, and workspace set-up and reconfiguration.


Requirements

Essential Functions

• Responsible for all due diligence in the identification, verification, and securing of vendors and management of existing vendor relationships (ex. Janitorial and facilities supply companies). Procurement of appropriate bids from external providers ensuring that the goods, services, or works are appropriate and that they are procured at the best possible cost, quality, quantity, time and location to meet company needs.

• Oversight of contractors for facility renovations and maintenance. Responsibility for the creation and compliance of all repair schedules.

• Contributes to the negotiation and oversight of service contracts and approval of payments.

• Responsible for the procurement of all necessary permits, extensions, and documentation for any work done on VadaTech premises

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or Above
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a facilities management capacity
  • Experience managing vendors and building codes/systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of building infrastructure including HVAC and electrical
  • Ability to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Knowledge of OSHA and Industrial safety concepts, practices, and procedures
  • General computer skills; MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Ticketing System experience
  • Valid drivers license and legal authority to work in the US
  • Ability to prioritize a variety of needs and requests
  • Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace.
  • Fluent domain of the English language: ability to read, write and speak English well.
  • Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.

Physical Demands:

  • Manual dexterity in order to use equipment and related tools.
  • Sitting and standing for long hours in an indoor work environment.
  • Ability to move around the facility, climbing stairs as necessary, bend down and reach up.
  • Frequently communicate with others; must be able to exchange accurate information verbally and in writing.
  • Constantly operate a computer and other standard office equipment such as phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (one-person lift) additional weight lifted should be a two-person lift.

Mental demands

  • Read or write and interpret data.
