Position / Title: Financial Service Representative

Type: Non-Exempt position

Key Responsibilities:

The Financial Services Representative is responsible for the servicing of new and existing clients within the branch with a primary focus on New Accounts. Full adherence to BSA, AML and compliance procedures is paramount to this position.

  • Serves commercial and consumer clients in opening new accounts. Must have extensive knowledge of business documentation, bank products, and digital banking services to provide consultative service.
  • Contact new clients for onboarding activities and follow up to obtain necessary signatures and documentation.
  • Perform due diligence on applicants to assess risk and ensure compliance with BSA/AML regulations.
  • Process account vesting changes making sure to obtain proper documentation and performing the updating of bank records.
  • As the experienced banker, this individual would be expected to work closely with the Digital Banking team and the Relationship Managers to develop stronger client relationships
  • Provide customer service for lobby and phone requests. Research and resolve client problems, acting as the customer liaison between other bank departments. Follow up with client to assure resolution.
  • Responsible for making appropriate referrals for other bank products and services, including commercial lending products.
  • Serve as back up for the teller line. Must be able to perform teller duties including the processing of client transactions as well as maintaining and balancing a cash drawer
  • Responsible for adhering to the reporting and recordkeeping requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering rules and regulations and OFAC compliance. Must follow established customer identification program (CIP) rules as well as other compliance rules and regulations.
  • Work with multiple software platforms in support of daily processing needs.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of New Accounts experience
  • Team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and works well with others. Demonstrates diversity, flexibility, and commitment.
  • Ability to prioritize; handle multiple tasks; and work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills.
  • Present professional appearance and demeanor including excellent phone etiquette
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to make sound decisions. This may include making on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions; weighing customer satisfaction issues with the bank exposure to loss or fraud and the ability to think through and rationalize decisions
  • This position requires a perceptive person capable of relating to individuals at all levels. Situations that present themselves may require sensitivity to both customer and bank needs and goodwill.
  • Represent the bank in a manner that maintains the highest level of confidentiality with all information obtained.

Formal Education & Certification:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
