We seek a Patient Care Coordinator for a Full-Time, In-Person position at our St. Augustine, FL location.

Our Patient Care Coordinator welcomes patients for their appointments, schedules/reschedules appointments, and assists with taking patient vitals as needed. They are responsible for collecting payment during service and assisting in maintaining patient demographic records and financial accounts. We seek a highly detailed, customer service-driven individual to join our growing practice.

Compensation:

  • $15-20 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday 8:00 – 5:00 pm

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma (Required)
  • 1-2 years in a medical setting
  • Ability to set priorities and work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent telephone and communication skills: must speak well, clearly, and pleasantly while projecting care and helpfulness
  • Knowledge of medical insurance
  • Ability to prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of daily operations
  • Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately, and meet deadlines

Beneficial Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrate regard for the dignity and respect of all patients, visitors, and staff
  • Welcome all visitors in person; answers the telephone promptly
  • Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying the provider of the patient’s arrival as needed
  • Comfort patients by anticipating concerns and answering questions; Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies
  • Obtain revenue by recording and updating financial information at each appointment; register and collect patient balances; update patient accounts
  • Obtain changes in insurance and provide documentation and consistent communication to the billing department
  • Verify patient insurance benefits
  • Responsible for office inventory; ordering supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairs, and maintaining a clean and tidy reception area
  • Protects patient rights by maintaining the confidentiality of personal and financial information
