Job Description:
- The Renal Nurse Supervisor supports the Nurse Manager and Director of Renal Services in the development, implementation, and management of outpatient dialysis clinics.
- This role provides day-to-day leadership and direction to clinical staff, ensuring adequate staffing, facilitating team building, and fostering professional relationships.
- The position is responsible for ensuring staff have the necessary resources, monitoring adherence to departmental processes and policies, and providing feedback and guidance to staff as needed.
- Additionally, the supervisor facilitates new staff orientation and conducts annual performance evaluations per UVM Medical Center Policy.
- In addition to leadership and management duties, the supervisor may also provide direct patient care to maintain clinical skills and knowledge.
Education:
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Client required.
- The University of Client is transitioning toward an all Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) workforce. All external candidates hired into, or current employees promoted to, an RN position must obtain their BSN as outlined in their offer letter. Current internal RNs are strongly encouraged to pursue a BSN to support this initiative.
- Minimum of one year of clinical dialysis experience required.
