Construction Parts Sales Manager - Located in Shelton, CT or Houston, TX


The key purpose of this role is to support the full contract lifecycle for Construction orders. This position is responsible for all construction sales parts in North America. This role will proactively seek construction lifecycle parts orders from fleet owners, general contractors, & all parties who own and operate R&P hoists, MCWPs and all Construction products.


Main Duties & Responsibilities


  • Support the full contract lifecycle across functional teams including sales, project management and finance, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations at the Federal, State and local level and all Group/Local policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the preparation of proposals ensuring that both in scope and out of scope specifications/requirements and schedule are clearly documented.
  • Review, redline and negotiate the terms and conditions of client documents to ensure alignment with the scope and schedule of the proposal and compliance with Group/Local policy standards on commercial risks; liaise with in-house legal counsel to construct the most commercially advantageous and legally compliant contract language.
  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of efficient and effective quality and compliance controls; proactively monitor their effectiveness at meeting the needs of the organization and correct/mitigate any weaknesses; develop and implement tools and automation that simplifies and improves the cycle time of the contracting process.
  • Influence contract policies and procedures to ensure they scale with changing business requirements while meeting evolving legal requirements.
  • Consult with Sales Managers on subcontracting and negotiating terms and conditions that align with the Sales Management contracted scope of work; ensure compliance with Group and customer policy standards for quality, safety, insurance and labor.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets goals for each month for the current budget year.
  • Lead and participate in process improvement teams and other ad-hoc projects as necessary.
  • Create tracker(s) for safety device life cycle to track expiration dates and send replacement proposal 90-days in advance of expiration.
  • Review and enter all Construction order information / purchase orders into Sales Force & Manage 2000 and keep Construction order tracker manually updated on share drive.
  • Coordinate orders with purchasing department to ensure orders are placed with factory for successful delivery to Customers.
  • Review and prepare what parts should be A, B, C parts for stock inventory.
  • Create and review strategies to align with budget. Assist with monthly reports and help coordinate Construction invoicing and forecasting parts sales.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management or related field
  • 5+ years related professional experience preferably in the construction
  • 2+ years negotiation and project management experience
  • Contracts certifications desired a plus (CPCM, CFCM or CCCM)
  • National Contract Management Association (NCMA) or International Association for Contract and Commercial Management (IACCM) membership a plus
  • World class ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, MS Dynamics, Sage)
  • Must be available to travel within region
  • Highly articulate, customer focused, team player, can do attitude
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Leadership skills with ability to influence and inspire both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Physical Requirements

  • Must be available to travel within region
  • Must be able to work in an office environment
  • Must be able to visit customers on-site (various environments)
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer
  • Must be able to stand and present at meetings
  • Office located either in Shelton, CT or Houston, TX
