HR Support Clerk

  • Full Time/Non-Exempt: 36-hours a week
  • Schedule: Flexible schedule primarily Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm  
  • $33,696 annually
Description
The Bridge is seeking an HR Support Clerk to join our Human Resources Department to manage the flow of information in the Human Resources Department while maintaining integrity and precision of information. 
This individual will assist with special projects as needed and conduct basic filing duties; both alphabetical and numerical to ensure employee personnel files are maintained in organized and current order. This includes opening and closing out employee files as necessary. Conducting data entry to capture employee information from new hires, exiting employees, change forms, etc. and enter into appropriate HR spreadsheets. Update/maintain employee electronic records; i.e., driving records, auto liability insurance, etc. Assist with updating  & distribution of the Employee Handbook as needed.
In addition, the HR Support Clerk will assist with preparation for New Employee Onboarding; i.e., copying, collating, etc. Copy/collate employee benefits packets as necessary and scan/e-mail packets to third-party benefits administrator. Create flyers/announcements, and other communications to notify employees of upcoming events and provide support with administrative tasks such as copying, faxing, etc.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • A High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year HR experience.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years administrative support experience.
  • Ability to alphabetize materials and place in appropriate files.
  • Intermediate level experience with MS Word, Excel and Publisher programs.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, push/pull, and lift files in and out of cabinets
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred, not required.
Other Requirements
  • Must pass criminal background investigation check
  • Must pass drug screen
  • Must provide and maintain current TX Driver’s License
  • Must provide and maintain clean driving record and annually update driving record
  • Must provide and maintain current auto liability insurance
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S
  • Must be able to lift/carry (40) lbs, and ascend/descend stairs in emergency shelter setting.
