Job Description:
We are looking for a well qualified Accounting Manager that is proficient in AP, AR, Quickbooks and is a very detail oriented. This person will be responsible for working directly with the owner and the management team to produce reports and the state of the company's financial health. Were seeking an experienced accounting manager to oversee this high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have accounting experience, preferably in this industry or similar. In addition, the ideal candidate will have some experience in Human Resources and serve as the liaison with our Human Resources support company.


Objectives of this role

  • Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points
  • Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
  • Oversee bi-weekly payroll and commission reports
  • Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions
  • Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development
  • Help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies
  • Be a frontline advocate for employees and serve as the liaison to the front line

Responsibilities

  • Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
  • Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity
  • Confirming payment requests and allocating to the correct job
  • Maintaining records of invoices, debits, and credits
  • Collections duties to include high volume calling, payment tracking, detailed documentation and follow up
  • Keeping organized and detailed documentation of all correspondence with vendors
  • Reporting monthly statements and reports
  • Jobs/Duties assigned by the owner and/or General Manager

  • Required skills and qualifications
  • Five or more years of accounting experience with a strong working knowledge of AR
  • 5+ years experience in Quickbooks and QBO
  • 2+ years Human Resources experience
  • Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
  • Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent work experience) in business, accounting, or related field
  • Moderate/Advanced experience with Office Suite
