Job Description:
K&T Security is seeking experienced and highly skilled Armed Special Police Officers (SPO) to join our elite team. We provide premier security services across various high-profile locations in Washington, DC. This role is perfect for professionals dedicated to maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their patrons. Immediate openings are available, with opportunities for full-time employment and additional shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access to premises, ensuring the safety and security of customers, employees, and visitors.
- Enforce strict age restrictions by ensuring no one under 21 is allowed on-site.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting patrons and addressing their concerns professionally.
- Respond swiftly to theft, vandalism, unauthorized entry, and other incidents as required.
- Operate surveillance systems and detection devices to prevent unauthorized access.
- Manage access control duties, including greeting and checking IDs of visitors.
- Write detailed daily activity reports and document any irregularities or violations.
- Collaborate effectively with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times, in compliance with K&T Security’s uniform standards.
- Adhere to all District of Columbia regulations regarding the carrying and use of firearms.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of security experience, with a proven ability to manage high-stakes environments and handle weapons responsibly.
- Licensing: Must have a valid District of Columbia Armed SPO License.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation is required.
- Technology: Must own an Android or iPhone to access required websites/apps for clocking in/out and site management.
- Uniform: Must own appropriate uniform attire, including black trousers, boots, and a dark suit.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in high-security environments such as government buildings, embassies, or corporate offices.
