What would you do as a Clinical Support Clerk

As a Full Time Clinical Support Clerk at Palolo Chinese Home, you will play a vital role in the efficient management of medical records. Your responsibilities will include closing and filing discharged residents' medical charts, reviewing charts for deficient information, and ensuring compliance with correcting any documentation gaps. Additionally, you will assist with home health referrals and the ordering of durable medical equipment.

Your attention to detail will be crucial as you input information into our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system on a daily basis. Furthermore, you will provide support to our Admissions team by assisting with the completion of business packets. Are you the Clinical Support Clerk we're looking for?

To be successful in the role of Full Time Clinical Support Clerk at Palolo Chinese Home, you will need to possess a range of skills and qualifications. Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as strong interpersonal skills, are essential to effectively interact with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals. Previous experience in a medical setting and familiarity with medical records will be advantageous in understanding the specific requirements of the role. Proficiency with MS Office products, such as Word and Excel, is necessary for accurate record-keeping and data entry.

Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is critical for clear communication with team members and residents. Additionally, you should demonstrate autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation to efficiently perform your job responsibilities. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with at least 1 year of clerical or administrative support experience, ideally in a healthcare setting.
