What You’ll Be Doing:
Performing inspections to customer requirements (Material Specification, Drawing, Government Specification) on raw material, in-process and finished goods. Specific duties may vary depending upon immediate plant need.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Others as assigned.
- Perform Receiving, In-Process, and Finished product inspection as required.
- Participate on Continuous Improvement and Problem-Solving Teams to develop process improvements.
- Perform basic part layout inspection to part drawing.
- Uses knowledge of inspection equipment (Calipers, Micrometers, Wizard, Height Gauge, ect.)
- Enter quality data into computer and complete or prepare paperwork as needed.
- Follow instructions and work within a team environment.
Schedule: Currently seeking 2nd shift Technician. During training may work on other shifts as needed
1st shift: 7AM to 3:30PM Monday to Thursday or 6AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Thursday
2nd shift: 3:30PM to 2AM Monday to Thursday, $1/hr shift premium once assigned to the shift.
3rd shift: 7PM to 5:30AM Monday overnight to Thursday overnight. $1.50/hour shift premium once assigned to the shift.
Weekend Shift: 6AM to 6PM Friday to Sunday, $3/hour shift premium once assigned to the shift.
Overtime as needed. May occasionally train or support operations as needed on other shifts.
Qualifications
- Experience performing quality inspections to customer requirements on raw material, in-process and finished goods using calipers, micrometers, Wizard, quality plans, product audits and raw material inspections, reading blueprints and drawings
- Ability to perform data entry; proficient in Microsoft products and manufacturing software
- Willing to work in a manufacturing plant environment, which is fast-paced with occasional shifting priorities.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred
- Experience with quality planning FMEA, Control Plans, Inspection sheets
- GD&T knowledge
- Experience training others
