StretchLab is seeking certified personal trainers, licensed massage therapists, physical therapists, LPN/RN's, athletic trainers, and degreed health/fitness professionals to join our team.  This is an amazing opportunity to use your existing experience and knowledge of the body and how it moves in a new modality that helps people live better, more fulfilling lives  

StretchLab is the leader in offering one-on-one assisted stretching. At StretchLab, our clients aren't told how to stretch, they GET stretched.  We have gathered a team of experts already certified, licensed, or degreed in an array of health/fitness related fields.  StretchLab prides itself on having the finest team of stretching professionals, and we're looking for others who are that good too StretchLab has the only nationally accredited training program that ensures our clients receive a world class stretching session.

We are currently looking for an employee who preferably wants to work FULL TIME.  This would consist of approx. 36 hours a week -- over 5 weekdays and one weekend day (Saturday 9am-1pm or Sunday 10am-2pm).  Evening work will be required, but not every evening and we're only open as late as 7pm three days.  This position will start as a combination of hands-on Flexologist duties and front desk/sales.  As you fill in your Flexologist schedule, we will transition you to more and more hands on.  Typically, Flexologists prefer to work 30 hrs/wk hands-on and 10 hrs/wk front desk/sales, but the exact split can be specific to your performance and preference. 

Training will be provided for both the Flexologist portion and front desk/sales portion of the role.  Due to the training involved, we prefer that this be your only job and that you are able to stick around  This is NOT a short-term position (1 yr minimum but we really want someone who wants to stay longer and make StretchLab your career).

Flexologist Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one assisted stretch sessions
  • Encourage and motivate clients throughout stretch sessions
  • Build StretchLab membership and retain current clientele
  • Ensure safety of clients in regard to proper stretch techniques and enforce StretchLab polices and safety rules
  • Attend staff meetings and required educational presentations
  • Handle member concerns when applicable
  • Assist sales associates and General Manager with studio tour and sales as needed
  • Maintain strong social media presence to client membership and retention
  • Clean and maintain all equipment in order to ensure it is available for client use at any given time

Qualifications:

  • Love of fitness environment is a must – passion for stretching, mobility, and flexibility
  • Experience working in a fitness/health environment providing hands-on training with clients
  • Fitness or health related certification, license, or degree is required, and it must be current
  • Ability to create a positive environment that welcomes all people
  • Fantastic communication skills and exudes empathy
  • Must love connecting with people and have passion for helping them achieve goals
  • Must have a professional work ethic, be reliable and adhere to our attendance policies
  • Must be available to go through our Flexologist Training Program, which includes 20 hours of online tutorials and 2 days of in-person/hands-on training (you will be compensated for this time) 
  • Preferred backgrounds:
    • Licensed Physical Therapist
    • Licensed Massage Therapist
    • Licensed Physical Therapist Assistants
    • Licensed Occupational Therapists
    • LPN / RN (sorry, but not CNA)
    • Certified Athletic Trainer
    • Certified Personal Trainer
    • Certified Pilates, Yoga, or Dance Instructor
    • Degreed professional (Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Sports Medicine, Human Biomechanics)
    • Other wellness/fitness certifications or degrees considered individually
