Position Summary for Inside Sales Representative: We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Inside Sales Representative to join our Client's team. This role is essential in linking their Sales and Marketing efforts to drive business growth. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the construction industry or related and utilize their skills to craft and implement effective sales strategies that showcase the value of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities of Inside Sales Representative:

  • Identify and generate new sales leads through various channels, including phone, email, and social media, to expand our customer base.
  • Research and monitor bidding opportunities
  • Initiate contact with engineering firms focused on underground utilities to introduce and promote our products and services.
  • Engage with City/County Engineers and Approval committees to get our materials specified in various projects.
  • Identify and pursue local, state, and federal funding sources to support our sales initiatives.
  • Track and analyze capital improvement project budgets to identify potential opportunities for our products.
  • Conduct segmented outreach by state, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure comprehensive market coverage.
  • Prepare detailed data and reports for the estimating and operations teams to support informed decision-making.
  • Track and analyze bids, projects, and private work opportunities to stay informed about market activities and trends.
  • Conduct in-depth market research, including studying consent decree markets and various City and Municipality Capital Improvement Plans (CIP).
  • Manage and enhance the overall customer experience, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide regional sales support by organizing and facilitating meetings with engineers, public works professionals, and material approval boards. These meetings should result from proactive outreach efforts.
  • Foster strong relationships with existing and potential customers through consistent and personalized communication.

Qualifications/Skills for Inside Sales Representative:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a sales or customer support role is highly desirable.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence multiple levels of external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to handle complex issues and projects, with a strategic and tactical approach to achieving objectives.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads and track performance.
