Our ideal Junior Staff Engineer possesses a basic technical aptitude of thermal and / or mechanical design. What You'll Do


As the Junior Staff Engineer at Noren Thermal Solutions, you will work from our facility in Taylor, Texas. You will serve as one main technical resource for the sales team, interface with our clients and help drive the technology evaluation state of the sales process. In essence, you will be the face and the ambassador of engineering. 

We look for you to bring at least 1 years of hands on experience, your superb technical knowledge and a strong customer service ability. This combination of skills will allow you to hit the ground running in working with our sales team. We will educate you in our product and you will be amply fortified to serve as the primary technical advisor and showcase your ability to clearly identify and provide quality solutions for all technical issues. With all of this gained knowledge, your results oriented nature will be key to your success as you collaboratively work with Manufacturing, Testing and Quality teams internally all while focusing on meeting or exceeding customer expectations.  A more definitive list of the tasks associated with this role includes:


  • Working with Sales to provide customer solutions
  • Maintaining expert level of product knowledge and application
  • Providing design and specification development support to consultants, integrator and distributors
  • Communicating project status adequately to all internal / external stakeholders
  • Listening to understand and adequately convey customer requirements
  • Liaise with potential customers to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives
  • Evaluate potential projects for business feasibility
  • Perform technical / product trainings for sales people, estimators, and engineers both internally and at targeted customers
  • Maintain accurate records pertaining to quotes, drawings, analysis,  projects, contacts, correspondences and opportunities in company approved databases
  • Support in researching and developing new products for Noren based on customer and market feedback
  • Maintain and support the company’s Quality Management System, mission, values and financial objectives


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year accredited college or university in an Engineering or technical field; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal organizational skills
  • Proven success in customer service, account and project management roles
  • Ability to secure clearance for ITAR projects
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal & written
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
  • Results oriented team player, ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for client site visits and / or trade show.
