Job summary: 

This position will support both our Warehouse and Production Operations.  The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude, ability to work with a team, eagerness to learn and a high level of trainability.  This position is a first step in Ametrine’s long-term, training, education, and development program aimed at improving an employee’s capabilities and value within the organization. We are seeking a long-term relationship and will invest in high potential employees that are eager to grow responsibility.  

 

This is a Veteran-ready job in a Veteran-friendly, Veteran-led Company. 

Hours: 4pm – 2:30am, Monday - Thursday. Initial training period hours are projected to be from 12:00pm - 10:00pm, Monday - Thursday for the first ninety days.

Responsibilities and duties :

 

Warehouse Support

  • Process and track inbound/outbound items
  • Perform shipping and receiving functions
  • Pull, pack and prepare items for shipment
  • Assist in maintaining inventory and conduct cycle counts
  • Assist in effectively managing materials/finished goods
  • Enter and retrieve data from the ERP system
  • Complete quality control inspections on fabric and end items
  • Operate a pallet jack
  • Operate a reach truck or forklift

 

Production Support

  • Train as an apprentice under the guidance of an experienced professional
  • Support the operation of our large-format inkjet printers to produce orders
  • Keep the line fed by loading and unloading raw materials
  • Perform light mechanical support matters (cleaning filters, greasing points, wiping and cleaning, etc)
  • Perform administrative tasks related to production (reporting, work order, and data entry)

 

 Quality Support

  • Inspect raw and finished materials to ensure consistency and integrity
  • Cut and sew samples of fabric for testing purposes
  • Measure and test materials before and after processing
  • Assign and categorize materials based on level of damage

 

Background and Experience 

  • Computer literacy
  • Warehouse, production, or quality experience
  • Military experience a plus
  • Associate Degree or Trade School Certification (Auto Mechanic, HVAC, etc.) a plus
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs 
  • Personal Transportation 

 

Other Requirements 

  • US Citizenship is a requirement (Per federal defense contract requirements)
  • US security clearance or ability to obtain upon employment required. 
  • Ability for occasional travel.  
  • Overtime as required.

  • Printing Experience - Identify materials used in printing process. Able to identify all Fabrics and Inks. Understand segregation of scrap. 
  • Warehouse Skills - Operate pallet jack. Demonstrate good housekeeping skills. Accurately receive and return goods to proper place in warehouse. 
  • Mechanical Skills - Some knowledge of tools such as saws, hammers, etc. and the ability to safely use them. Ability to provide light technical support to mechanical devices 
  • Must be independent with motivation and agile approach 

The following activities are also required: reach (extending hands and arms in any direction), standing for long periods of time, walking (moving about to accomplish tasks), lifting (raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position), grasping (applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm), and repetitive motion (substantial moving of arms, wrists, hands, and/or fingers) is required.
