Position Overview:

The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in the operational efficiency of Elliott Electric Supply by facilitating order processing and delivery services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all warehouse activities, including the unloading and verification of incoming shipments while ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
  • Accurately receive and log inventory from suppliers, clients, or other locations in a timely manner.
  • Ensure prompt fulfillment of orders requiring the shipment of spools and/or wire.
  • Guarantee that wire shipments are cut to order and comply with safety regulations.
  • Perform assigned housekeeping duties and any additional tasks as directed by management.

Compensation: Weekly pay.

Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability Insurance after 90 days of employment. A company-matching 401k program is available after six months.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with experience in warehouse or distribution settings.
  • Ability to identify products by size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Competence in reading orders and matching them with shipping tickets.
  • Basic math and reasoning skills are essential.
  • Capability to obtain certification for power-truck equipment and operate inventory control devices, such as bar-coding equipment and handheld scanners.

Physical Requirements: This role is safety-sensitive, requiring constant alertness and safe work practices. Candidates must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs. without assistance and endure extreme temperatures typical of a warehouse environment. The position involves significant standing, walking, lifting, pulling, and pushing, with occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs. required. Specific vision abilities necessary for this role include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
