New York Pilates is excited to welcome an Assistant Studio Manager to our team to support the smooth and efficient operational procedures within all studio departments enabling their NYP location to provide the highest level of customer service. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to manage finances and drive revenue; hire, direct and train staff; and demonstrate excellent time management and communication skills.  

Assistant Studio Managers will be expected to support their Studio Manager to execute the overall vision for the Studio, and is equally responsible for reaching the Sales and Profit goals for their location. NYP’s ASMs must embody integrity, flexibility, confidence and interpersonal skills.

This is a full time position that will include nights, weekends and holidays. The responsibilities and duties of this position described here are representative of those an employee must perform. This is not a comprehensive list and other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop and motivate a team of brand advocates, ensuring a consistent best-in-class student experience that aligns with our brand purpose and values
  • Coach and develop staff to exceed individual and store productivity goals
  • Support the SM in their management and leadership of the Instructor staff cohort, driving talent development and performance across your location’s instructor roster
  • Partner with the Store Manager to maximize profitability by ensuring that customer engagement, merchandising, operations, and community connection are all consistent and in compliance with company standards
  • Own studio brand maintenance, including but not limited to: equipment management and maintenance, facility vendor repair & maintenance, 
  • Model resilience and adaptability through your leadership to contribute to healthy company culture
  • Promote excellence in customer service by modeling brand specific service standards, monitoring and responding to student feedback, and ensuring the team is engaging with each student to create an authentic brand experience
  • Supervise floor coverage and activities, including opening and closing the store as scheduled
  • In partnership with the Studio Manager, provide training and ongoing development of store staff in student engagement and all company programs, policies and procedures
  • Foster an environment of development and accountability
  • Support the Studio Manager in achieving all financial and operational objectives
  • Assist Studio Manager in the selection and hiring of qualified candidates
  • Partner with the Studio Manager on the implementation of visual merchandising directives and maintain standards consistent with company brand strategies
  • Partner with the Studio Manager to ensure compliance and adherence to loss prevention and safety policies and procedures, standards and practices, and company directives
  • Model behavior that respects the background, experience, and cultural differences of others, while upholding the integrity and values of the NYP brand
  • Promote an environment that encourages participation, creativity, and learning by sharing best practices and building on the ideas of others
