LendSure Mortgage Corp is looking for a Quality Control Specialist to work out of our San Diego, CA location. Duties and Responsibilities

The Quality Control Specialist duties include many responsibilities of which the focus is to perform compliance reviews on all files. The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for reviewing the following items (but is not limited to): data integrity of our LOS (Encompass), borrower(s) information, credit, income, assets, appraisals & reviews, closing documentation for accuracy and completeness as well as maintaining compliance with federal and state laws and regulations; private investor requirements; and Company policies and procedures.

  • Performing Pre-Doc quality control reviews of loan files selected for review, ensuring the loan file is in compliance with all agency loan guidelines, regulatory disclosure requirements, and internal Company policies and procedures.
  • Performing comprehensive Post Funding quality control reviews of loan files selected for review, ensuring the loan file is in compliance with company underwriting guidelines.
  • Perform high risk loan reviews to identify concerns such as occupancy and/or misrepresentation.
  • Attend relevant loan underwriting, credit analysis, or loan program industry trainings as assigned
  • Maintain the Compliance & Prefund QC loan level report with all findings
  • Assist the Quality Control Manager with projects as requested

Qualifications

  • At least 3+ years of recent experience in Non-QM underwriting and/or Quality Control or assurance experience within the mortgage lending industry
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently
  • Effectively Communicate loan detail findings and resolutions with the Quality Control Team, Quality Control Manager, Underwriter, Credit Manager, and/or Sr. Management as quickly as possible
  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and regulatory rules, laws, regulations, underwriting guidelines, and statutes relevant to the mortgage industry
  • Strong work ethic
  • Precise attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, written & oral
  • Working knowledge of loan processes and procedures
  • Experience and working knowledge within Encompass preferred
  • Proficiency MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
