Summary

The CMO will maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the organization.?Basys is a leading merchant services provider for customer and partners throughout the U.S. We are a privately owned company that continues to experience strong growth year after year. The CMO leads and manages the organizations marketing strategies and activities. The CMO will be instrumental in creating a strategic plan for brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth through effective marketing initiatives, research, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Identify core customer and partner target audiences.
  • Develop the marketing technology infrastructure to align with company objectives.
  • Partner with senior leadership to design and implement marketing and advertising plans to drive growth.
  • Oversee market research, analyze consumer trends, and identify market size.
  • Develop the structure of the business’s marketing department and manage the marketing team’s daily activities and performance.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts with the company’s financial and branding goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement integrated marketing campaigns, manage brand positioning, and enhance customer experience.
  • Build long term strategy for all product and service lines within the organization’s teams

Additional Responsibilities

  • Stay updated on industry trends and foster innovation to drive the organization’s competitive advantage in the market.
  • Negotiate advertising contracts.
  • Create a solid network of strategic partners.
  • Approve marketing campaigns, giveaways, contest to bring attention to and create interest in organization’s products and services.
  • Determine what type of media to use in an advertising campaign.
  • Additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Ten or more years proven experience in CMO or similar role
  • Demonstrable experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for all marketing aspects (branding, product promotion, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of market research and data analysis methods
  • Ability to apply marketing techniques over digital (e.g. social media) and non-digital (e.g. press) channels
  • Proficient in MS Office and other marketing and business software (e.g. CRM, Marketo, etc.)
  • Inspirational leadership style and hands-on approach
  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications or relevant field preferred
