HousingWORKs - Case Worker

El Concilio California is looking to fulfill the position of a part-time Case Worker for our Housing Work Opportunity program. This position entails working with families and reviewing qualifications to be assisted to prevent homelessness. The Case Worker will serve families that fall under CalWORKs and are pregnant or caring for children aged from 0-18 years of age. Using the established eligibility criteria, all families must be approved by First 5 San Joaquin prior to service delivery. The Case Worker will be responsible for frequently contacting families in the form of home visits, via phone and email. All attempts to reach families will be documented throughout the preventative services process. The Case Worker will become familiar with various evaluation methods such as referral records, client consent forms; HousingWORKs needs assessments, affordable worksheets and other forms. Other duties will include attending virtual and in-person collaborative meetings to provide program updates on behalf of El Concilio California.
Employment Type: Part-Time; Non-Exempt
Requirements: Background Check, Professional Reference, Valid Driver's License.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Sociology or related field with 1-2 years of experience in a case management is highly preferred; An Associate's Degree in Sociology or related field, with 1-3 years of experience in case management is highly preferred; a High school Diploma/GED Equivalency with 3-5 years of experience in case management is required in lieu of a degree.
