Connect Staffing is looking for an eager Receiving Clerk to join a leading Solar Distribution company in North Houston


Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm


Receiving Clerk Requirements


  • Must be able to pass a background check and a drug screen.
  • Able to lift 50+lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for 8+ hours.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in roles such as Shipping and Receiving, Inventory Control Clerk, Inventory Control Specialist or a Freight Forwarder is a big plus

Receiving Clerk Responsibilities


  • Accept deliveries from suppliers and verify that the shipment matches the accompanying paperwork.
  • Inspect received items for damage, discrepancies, or defects, and document any issues.
  • Enter received items into the inventory system or log, including quantities received and condition of goods.
  • Label received items with identifying information (e.g., part numbers, lot numbers) and ensure proper storage in designated locations.
  • Keep accurate records of received shipments, including dates received, quantities, and any relevant notes or comments.
  • Contact suppliers regarding shipment issues, missing items, or discrepancies in delivery.
  • Follow safety procedures and regulations when handling and storing received goods.
