We are looking for a highly skilled Senior AI/ML Engineer with a strong background in artificial intelligence and machine learning. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in building and fine-tuning large language models (LLMs), developing traditional machine learning models, and assisting in the design and implementation of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions. As a Senior Engineer, you will work closely with the Principal Engineer to drive our AI/ML initiatives, handling real-life industry data, and contributing to innovative projects that enhance our technological capabilities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in developing and implementing RAG solutions to improve the retrieval and generation of information.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify AI/ML opportunities and integrate solutions into products and services.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting best practices in AI/ML.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in AI/ML and apply them to address complex problems.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code standards are upheld.
  • Optimize and fine-tune models for performance, scalability, and accuracy.
RequirementsNecessary Skills and Experience
  • Advanced degree in a STEM field or 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in building and fine-tuning large language models, as well as traditional machine learning models.
  • Significant experience working with deep learning models using real-life ("industry") data.
  • Proficient in designing and supporting the implementation of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
  • Excellent proficiency in Python programming and expertise in one or more deep learning libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
  • Strong background in software engineering with a focus on AI/ML applications.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • The ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance post-start date. U.S. Citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Beneficial Skills and Experience
  • Proficiency with cloud-native technologies and platforms (such as Kubernetes and Helm) for deploying AI/ML solutions.
  • Expertise in deep learning architectures such as CNNs, RNNs, and Transformers.
  • Skilled in designing and implementing data storage solutions, including embeddings, and using vector and graph databases.
  • Strong foundation in data engineering and big data technologies.
  • Familiarity with MLOps or LLMOps practices and tools for model deployment and monitoring.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Competence in natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision applications.
