About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Manager to join our team at Big O Tires - Falcon and Colorado Springs, CO. The Automotive Service Manager manages and directs all service department activities. They are responsible for developing and directing a team of tire technicians and general service technicians who exemplify the highest level of quality and customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the tire and service department
  • Provide detailed and accurate inspections
  • Lead, mentor, and train a team of service technicians
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with company standards
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels for restock
  • Handle customer inquiries and issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Assess the skills and abilities of applicants for auto repair positions
  • Supervise repair and maintenance quality
  • Ensure the shop is effectively staffed by managing the recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, performance management, and development of teammates
  • Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a managerial role within the automotive service industry
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of automotive service and repair processes
  • ASE certification preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical issues and write routine reports
  • Ability to influence and motivate a team to achieve set goals and objectives
