Job DescriptionJob Description

Job description: Field Service Machinist has experience with field boring/milling/drilling equipment in the field with basic welding skills. This person is able to complete most tasks with moderate supervision. This person is a team player and willing to help train and mentor others at or below their skill level in field machining. This position requires knowledge of welding on heavy mining equipment and energy power equipment. Travel, working in adverse weather conditions, at heights and in confined spaces is required. Working in a safe manner and safety for themselves and others is expected.

Formal Requirements and Certifications of Job –

Required

  • 18 years or older
  • Safety Oriented
  • Has a good working knowledge of machine boring equipment
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints and drawings
  • Understand tolerances
  • Ability to set up and run boring equipment in a field environment
  • Maintain machinery in good working order
  • Maintain accuracy, timeliness and accountability for quality
  • Basic welding skills
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Positive attitude
  • At least 2 years of job experience in trade

Preferred

  • MSHA surface training
  • Technical degree in applicable trade
  • Qualifications in other trades we work in
