JOB SUMMARY: The Practice Manager provides leadership and general administrative oversight for the clinic. The position’s principal operational role involves the management and administration of patient care teams and administrative staff. The Practice Manager is responsible for facilitating the overall efficiency, productivity, and satisfaction of the individual practice. Additional goals are patient satisfaction, client integration, compliance with company standards for chart completion, and regulatorily required practice standards.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement and direct the day-to-day functions of the clinics and its programs and activities to ensure compliance, efficiency, and patient satisfaction
  • Manage staff performance including supervising, coaching/counseling front office and clinical staff daily and interviewing, hiring, and training new staff
  • Address issues raised by physicians, employees, and patients and seek out appropriate leaders or partners to problem solve and process improve
  • Develop the practice budget including pull profit and loss responsibility of the physician practice, including revenue, expenses, and budgeting
  • Works with the administrative staff to ensure that patients are scheduled in a timely manner, all appropriate patient and insurance information is captured, follow-up information is accurate, surgeries are accurately scheduled, and documented and the patient is aware of their financial responsibility.
  • Oversees the janitorial services and building maintenance needs of the facility and responds to issues promptly by regular communication with the appropriate vendors.
  • Purchases office supplies and other items as needed within budget limitations.
  • Assists in the care and upkeep of department equipment and supplies; handles inventory, stocking, and ordering of clinic supplies.
  • Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
  • Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding personnel and business-related matters.
  • Availability to work in the office setting Monday-Friday.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Practice Administrator/Leadership Team.


Requirements:

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Some college preferred

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of four years supervisory experience required.
  • Minimum of five year’s experience in a medical office required; orthopedic field preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills: proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have Working knowledge of an Electronic Health Record.
  • Knowledge of current HIPAA and OSHA regulations; ability to implement and enforce legal requirements in the workplace.
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
  • Excels at operating in a fast pace, community environment.
  • Possess organizational and time management skills.
  • Capable of instructing others.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with Physicians, other medical professionals, office personnel employees, and patients.
  • Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor.
  • Neat professional appearance.
