TAP is seeking to hire an Analytic Research Engineer to join our team If you are a highly motivated engineer who enjoys a challenging and dynamic environment where your contributions are both critical and valued, this company will provide you with the tools and opportunity to thrive.
The Analytic Research Engineer supports various technical projects, providing research engineering, technical, and managerial direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development, and implementation for complex systems. The ideal candidate will develop, conduct, and evaluate new approaches to meet technical requirements more quickly and efficiently. Additionally, the Analytic Research Engineer will make recommendations and advise on research development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts, performing risk assessments and innovative use of new research concepts or improved techniques and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI w/ full scope polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or related technical field)
- 5+ years of experience developing software in Python and Java, with various software libraries such as Numpy, Pandas, PyTorch, Maven or Junit
- Ability to develop and deploy applications on Linux or Unix such as Centos, RedHat, or Ubuntu
- Experience developing and deploying containerized software, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
- Understanding of machine learning techniques for computer vision, and natural language processing
- Knowledge of common software development tools (Git or Jira) and big data and analytic platforms such as Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, or Accumulo
- Technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience developing software in multiple languages, including C/C++ or Go
- Understanding of accelerated software with Nvidia hardware and software libraries, including GPUs and CUDA.
- Knowledge of shell scripts using Bash and common tools such as Sed, Awk, or Perl.
Clearance Requirement: This position requires the ability to maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of a full scope polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government. Factors considered for a U.S. Government Security Clearance include, but are not limited to:

- Education Verification
- Abuse/Illegal Drug Use
- Credit Check
- Subject Interview
