  • JOB TITLE: Host
  • REPORTS TO: Service Manager
  • PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: The primary objective of the host is to greet and seat guests in a timely and professional manner - setting the initial tone for a positive dining experience. Hosts are also responsible for answering the phone, taking carryout orders, and assisting guests with the door when getting ready to leave.
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Greeting people in a friendly and professional manner
    • Seating servers sections in a balanced way, following rotation when possible
    • Guiding guests to their table and letting them know who will be taking care of them
    • Being aware of what tables are available inside and outside and plotting future seating assignments
    • Using the waitlist effectively
    • Light bussing & cleaning of tables
    • Assisting in keeping the dining room clean
    • Communicate with other hosts, servers and managers
    • Answering phones & taking carryout orders
    • Thanking the guest for dining with us and wishing warm farewell

  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
    • Strong Communication Skills
    • Time Management and Counting Skills
    • Customer Service and People Skills
    • Organizational Skills
    • Ability to Remain Calm, Friendly, & Enthusiastic Under Pressure
    • Ability to Provide an Infectious Smile & Breathe Hospitality
  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
    • Must have reliable means of transportation
    • Must have the ability to stand on feet for up to 6 hours per shift
    • Ability to lift some heavy heavy items may be involved
