SOUTHCOAST HEALTH IS LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED credentialing coordinator

Responsible for the current credentialing and re-credentialing of all physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants hired by SouthCoast Health. Responsible for maintaining systems and documentation relating to provider credentialing. Work as a liaison between hospitals, insurance companies and providers.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to exercise professionalism in dealing with all levels of personnel.
  • Ability to perform duties independently with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to analyze problems and provide resolution.
  • Ability to work under stress, interruptions and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for credentialing and re-credentialing all providers with SCH, community hospitals, nursing homes, hospice facilities, professional liability carriers and any other healthcare entity which conveys professional privileges upon SCH providers.
  • Responsible for maintaining systems to ensure that SCH providers maintain professional licensure as may be required by third party payors, community hospitals and other health care entities..
  • Responsible for the credentialing and re-credentialing of SCH providers with all third party payors (including federal health plans).
  • Assists with managed care companies by maintaining current contracts fee schedules, referral and pre-certification policies and provider directories.
  • Schedules in-services for office managers and office staff for all insurance companies.

Education/ Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business management or related field or equivalent experience; a minimum of five(5) years experience required in managing a large multi-specialty physician practice. Skilled in multi-tasking, verbal, written and presentation communication. Demonstrated ability with project and task planning, and team work coordination. Must posses outstanding interpersonal skills and be capable of dealing with Medical Director, Physicians, and all levels of office/clinical staff. Computer literacy is essential with emphasis in Word, Excel, Access.
