Roles and Responsibilities

The job duties and responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Serve as the lead with Hilti to ensure all items required are on hand to perform the scope of work. Including but not limited to tablets, chargers, batteries, prisms, column wraps, etc.
  • Serve as lead for in-house training of other MSS employees to assist in the use of software and equipment used for layout.
  • Thorough understanding of how to import/upload files into the system and how to navigate the system.
  • Thorough understanding of capabilities of the different tools in order to choose the appropriate tool for each application.
  • Directly communicate with Hilti for all service needs, troubleshooting of equipment, and technical questions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot system when not operating properly and make the necessary corrections to resume operation.
  • Constant communication with project team to coordinate schedule around expected pour dates, deck access, and any constraints in the projects.
  • Provide the quantity of embeds and materials necessary for each project based on the individual project requirements. Should include style and sizes required.
  • Serve as point of contact between Mechanical and VDC in relation to drawings, CSVs, and any files relating to the point layouts and ensuring proper scaling.
  • Proper documentation of QA/QC checklists, daily task management, planning, and production
  • Read blueprints and equipment packing lists for assembly
  • Ability to work with a variety of tools, large machines and specialty equipment
  • Support the superintendent and Project Manager to complete the project in a timely manner
  • Coordinate and communicate with customers, owners’ reps, trade partners, subcontractors
  • Provide the best quality and productive work without constant reminders
  • Follow, implement and enforce all safety policies and procedures
  • Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule (days, nights, and some weekends)
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have reliable form of communication
  • Must show up on time in the appropriate attire and professionally present yourself
  • Commercial mechanical construction experience preferred
  • Supervisor experience preferred
  • Basic technology skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate with the superintendent, read and write, and follow directions
  • General knowledge of applicable codes and practices
  • Knowledge of local code and standards preferred
