Mechanical Engineer PE / PM HVAC / Plumbing


About the job We are a recruitment agency, specializing in delivering customized solutions to our diverse portfolio of clients. Our client, a highly respected engineering company in Austin, is looking to add a Mechanical Engineer PE / PM with HVAC and/or plumbing design experience to their growing team.

What youll be doing:

  • Calculate, design, and generate AutoCAD and/or Revit files and construction documents for MEP engineering needs
  • Manage projects both small and large, establish schedules, assign resources, and monitor performance to ensure projects stay on time and on budget
  • Maintain and organize all mechanical engineering-related documents and schedules
  • Review mechanical design submittals and address field issues as needed
  • Generate and present project status updates to internal and external audiences
  • Develop new business with existing and new clients through relationship building


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical or other engineering discipline with at least 6 years of relevant experience in HVAC or plumbing design and project management; MS degree is a plus
  • Current PE License
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with HVAC modeling programs such as TRACE700, CHVAC7.0, and/or AIRMaster is a big plus
  • Experience in HVAC/Plumbing design and project management for commercial, multifamily, educational, healthcare, and institutional buildings
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with a range of stakeholders, from subcontractors to project owners
  • Must be a US citizen, Green Card holder, or holder of TN visa


Nice to Have:

  • Project management experience
  • Expertise in HVAC modeling programs such as TRACE700, CHVAC7.0, and/or AIRMaster
