Resource Innovations is seeking a dynamic Contractor Field Manager to join our growing team in Seattle, WA. As a Manager at Resource Innovations, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing our new Trade Ally Engagement program. This program is designed to increase the effectiveness of our utility initiatives. Your role will involve building strong relationships with trade allies (i.e., energy service providers, contractors, installation firms, distributors, and/or manufacturers), promoting awareness of energy efficiency and building electrification programs, and ultimately driving positive energy savings outcomes. This position will also play a crucial role in developing and executing strategies that cultivate a robust network of qualified trade allies. The ideal candidate will drive trade ally recruitment, engagement, and retention to support organizational goals and initiatives. To be successful in this role, you will need to have expertise in field engagement, experience in the energy efficiency sector, and a passion for cultivating partnerships that create value for our organization and the communities we serve.

Resource Innovations (RI) is a women-led energy transformation firm focused on impact. Building on our expertise in energy efficiency, we’re constantly expanding our portfolio of clean energy solutions to guide utilities through increasingly complex, connected challenges. Load flexibility. Electrification. Carbon reduction. With every step, we’re leading the charge to power change.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Program Development and Execution:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external consultants to design, implement, and refine a Trade Ally Engagement program, focusing initially on commercial and industrial trade allies.
  • Develop and execute strategic outreach and recruitment plans to attract a diverse pool of trade allies, prioritizing underrepresented businesses to ensure an equitable approach.
  • Oversee the implementation of program goals, key performance indicators, and project timelines.
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of a trade ally database, including contact lists, interest forms, and feedback.

Field Engagement:

  • Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for trade allies, fostering strong working relationships to boost program participation and success.
  • Identify and attend industry events, conferences, and other relevant networking opportunities to promote the program and engage with potential allies.
  • Conduct direct outreach to trade allies (email, phone, meetings) to gather up-to-date information and promote program participation.

Training and Capacity Building:

  • Develop and deliver customized trade ally training programs aligned with the Trade Ally Engagement program's objectives, covering our energy efficiency and building electrification goals.
  • Promote ongoing learning by organizing workshops, webinars, and other knowledge-sharing opportunities.
  • Mentor trade allies to build their capacity and increase their expertise in delivering energy-efficient solutions.

Program Management:

  • Contribute to project plans, program launch plans, and reporting.
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal and external stakeholder meetings related to the program.
  • Regularly collect and analyze feedback from trade allies, using insights to help the client continuously improve their programs.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer to Client teams to ensure long-term sustainability and ownership of the program.

Input on California Partnership Strategy

  • Strategic Partnership Development: Identify, recruit, and manage high-value trade allies to support organizational goals, conducting market analysis for informed decision-making.
  • System Implementation: Design a solicitation process, reward system, and referral system to attract, incentivize, and expand the network of partners.
  • Partnership Management and Optimization: Set up a contractor portal for communication and resource sharing, while regularly evaluating partnership performance to ensure continued value and improvement.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in energy management, business administration, sustainability, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the energy efficiency industry, with a solid understanding of the trade ally landscape and networks.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with individuals and businesses from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented with a proven track record of successful project management.
  • Enthusiasm for sustainability, energy efficiency, and the mission of our organization.

Benefits

Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on candidate's qualifications. Resource Innovations also offers three weeks paid vacation per year, paid holidays, a 401(k) plan with employee matching funds, a discretionary bonus and an overall comprehensive benefits package.
