Alvic USA LLC is in need of a Machine Operator Assistant with experience utilizing any of the following machines: Panel Saws, Edge Bander, Pressing machines, CNC machines, Sanding machines and Lacquering applications or similar automated processes.

As a Machine Operator Assistant at Alvic, you will produce parts by pulling up specific programs and running them on one of our many computers numerical control (CNC) machines / production lines. In addition, as the primary operator of a specific machine, you will be responsible for daily cleaning and daily, weekly, and monthly routine machine maintenance.

SECOND SHIFT – 1:30 pm to 12:00 am

Essential functions is to assist main Machine Operator on:

  • Start up and shut down of machine.
  • Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
  • Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces, adhering to international standards.
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements by following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; root-cause analysis and calling for repairs.
  • Control and adjust machine settings
  • Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
  • Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
  • Test operation of machines periodically
  • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
  • Load and unload parts on and off the machine.
  • Pull up specific programs and run them on the machine.
  • Program new products into machine
  • Select, calibrate, and secure cutting tools into machining aggregates and tool holders.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on machines
  • Change orders and document production data
  • Document shift performance using GEMBA boards
  • Communicate effectively with Supervisors, Engineers, and Production personnel
  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
  • Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing need

Requirements

  • Capacity to learn and work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
  • Able to repeatedly lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stand, walk for a prolonged period
  • Able to follow directions and work safely
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Able to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.
  • Able to pass the pre-employment testing which includes a physical, background check, and drug testing.
