Reports to: Manager, Corporate Communications

Department: Corporate Services/Marketing


Purpose: To connect and engage with members, employees, and the community through a multi-faceted communications plan, including print, digital, and social media content. Promote services, programs, and products offered by NGEMC through these efforts; to develop content for all channels; to maintain content of company website and monitor NGEMC’s total online presence.

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, information technology, or related field of study.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Multi-media production experience, including experience in graphic design, digital content development, and social media management.
  • Experience with Adobe suite of programs.
  • Website administration via content management software experience.

Job Functions:

  • Produces all manner of digital media covering assigned topics for use across various channels.
    • Films and edits video messages as needed.
    • Creates and schedules content for social media.
  • Gathers and records online presence analytic data for reporting and strategic planning purposes.
  • Generates content on various topics as assigned, including research, copy writing, and gathering any necessary media.
  • Monitors NGEMC’s social media sites after-hours and responds to member and media interactions.
  • Provides necessary communications support to other departments.
  • Administers and optimizes the NGEMC public website to existing and unfolding standards of communication, including new and coming accessibility and LEP standards. Develops new features and content as needed.
  • Updates slideshows with critical information each week to keep employees well informed.
  • Photography and videography. Also maintains a record of gathered photo releases.
  • Works with full marketing team to produce strategic communications plan each calendar year.
  • Assists with all community events, including the Annual Meeting, as needed.
