The Entertainment Community Fund (formerly The Actors Fund), a nationwide human services organization that helps all professionals in performing arts and entertainment, seeks a Social Work Supervisor for Senior Services. Join a dynamic team that works with a creative and diverse community of arts workers in theater, film, television, dance and music. This is currently a hybrid position working at least 2 days per week in the NY office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Supervisor of the Senior Services provides clinical and administrative leadership to a team of 3 social workers and often graduate social work interns providing support, information and referrals, advocacy, groups and workshops for individuals 65+, their families and caregivers. Through a clinical case management model, the goal of the program is to provide support to our aging community as they navigate the social, physical and emotional changes that occur as they navigate this life stage. The Supervisor also works collaboratively with our Activities and Social program to identify relevant themes for program development and in addition works collaboratively with their colleagues in the west coast to develop nationally programs to engage and support seniors.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters Degree from an accredited School of social work, State Licensure, LCSW
  • Minimum of 6 years post –MSW with experience in providing services to an aging population, familiarity with all related benefit programs as well as supervision experience.
  • Strong assessment, clinical case management and advocacy skills.
  • Organized and able to handle diverse tasks in a fast paced, high volume environment.
  • Consistently convey a sense of empathy with clients and demonstrate solid clinical acumen.
  • Value and have the willingness to use the individual and group clinical supervision process to reflect, observe and enhance clinical practice.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and groups.
  • Worker will adhere to and be compliant with licensing code of ethics.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • May be required to work an adjusted schedule; evening or weekend hours

PREFERRED QUALITIES

  • Experience with the entertainment and performing arts community helpful.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and flexible and adaptable work style.

This is a full-time salaried position based in the Entertainment Community Fund’s National Headquarters Office in Times Square, New York City.
