Responsibilities and Qualifications:

The Automotive Billing Clerk performs a variety of general automotive accounting and clerical support tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of deals and new car transactions. We are looking for a detail oriented person that is good with numbers and proficient with accounting software, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Responsible to review and verify all documentation pertaining to a customer's vehicle purchase is accurate and in line with regulations
  • Examines contracts to assure conformity with specified requirements
  • Reviews and verifies all paperwork/deal jackets
  • Verifies all documents are signed and completed accurately
  • Reconciles schedules including new car schedule & customer deposits
  • Posts new car deals to accounting
  • Issues checks for lien payoffs and submits to financial institutions
  • Issues warranty cancellation refund checks as necessary
  • Records journal entries for new cars into inventory
  • Ensures all accounting transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Understands deadlines and able to apply the appropriate sense of urgency to all tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy is a must
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and comfortable in an open office is required
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
