Boundless is looking for an energetic and adaptable Receiving Lead for a workgroup from a recent, newsworthy distributor acquisition. This position will support one of its top clients and requires working in or near Fairfield, Ohio.
Responsibilities:
The Receiving Manager/Team Lead is responsible for managing the daily operations of the receiving department within our Fairfield Operations Center. This role includes overseeing the receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming shipments, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining efficient workflow. The Receiving Manager/Team Lead will supervise one to two team members and collaborate closely with other warehouse staff to support overall warehouse operations. The following are some of the detailed responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Manage and lead the receiving team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
- Receiving Operations:
- Oversee the unloading of trucks, ensuring all incoming shipments are received accurately and promptly.
- Inspect and verify the quality and quantity of received goods against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to resolve any discrepancies or issues with incoming shipments.
- Inventory Management:
- Ensure proper storage and organization of received goods in the warehouse.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track and record inventory movements.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the receiving area and implement best practices.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for receiving operations.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the receiving area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents and injuries.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse receiving operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
