Summary

The Accounts Receivable Insurance Specialist works diligently monitoring all patient account receivables for assigned payor/s. and processes claims in a timely manner. They also process denials and appeals and forward any refunds to the cash application department, and occasionally assists with contracting issues. The person in this role must provide exceptional customer service, as they work directly with patients, insurance companies and other departments. The right person for this role will be team oriented, service-minded and empathetic in their approach to our patients and their families.

Other Requirements

Previous medical office experience preferred


Pay Information: $19-$26/hour

Requirements:

Knowledge/Skills Abilities Required

· High School Diploma preferred.

· Strong customer service skills.

· AR insurance claims follow up experience.

· Experience writing complex appeals.

· Working knowledge of practice management, EMR, and claims clearinghouses.

· Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

· Ability to maintain quality control standards.

· Ability to meet deadlines.

· Ability to multi-task.

· This person must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public.
