Overview

Now Hiring Structural Steel Painter

Location: Pataskala, OH

Salary: $18-20/HR

Job Summary:

The Structural Steel Painter is responsible for applying protective coatings to structural steel components using a Graco paint system. You will use a Graco paint system to paint material ensuring even and consistent coverage. This role requires an eye for detail and a strong understanding of surface preparation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mix or thin paint and other coatings according to the drawing specifications.
  • Clean equipment before and after each use, ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Ability to operate overhead cranes.
  • Clean and prepare steel surfaces for painting using both grinding and hand tools.
  • Inspect painted surfaces for defects, and rework as necessary to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Follow established safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Structural steel painter, with specific experience using Graco spray systems is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of surface preparation techniques.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and measurements.
  • Physical ability to lift and move
  • Detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications in industrial painting is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in meeting production deadlines.
