Mental Health Coordinator

Reports to: Senior Manager of Care Coordination

Purpose

The purpose of the position is to work with the team to deliver the highest level of service and care coordination to those in need of mental health and substance use disorder services.

The Mental Health Coordinator supports the Care Solace Care Companion Team, the Customer Success Team, The Community Resources team and the Mental Health Staff.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support students, staff members and their respective families, who are members of school institutions across the country through care coordination services
  • Build relationships with mental health organizations, insurance companies across the country that result in a knowledge-based network of mental health resources for clients
  • Research agency policies, programs, systems, and processes and disperse relevant information
  • Complete internal case reviews and school system analyses of service impact and improvement
  • Identify mental health service providers for escalated cases
  • Collaborate with Director of Community Resources and Customer Success Team on special projects
  • Create informational materials as needed
  • Assist in reviewing and reporting suspected instances of abuse and neglect to Child Welfare Services
  • Other tasks and projects as needed

Requirements

  • Masters’ Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • 2 years of relevant case management or mental health service experience
  • Ability to work in virtual, fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Canva strongly preferred
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Team player, empathetic, respectful, clear, and direct communicator, positive attitude

Working Conditions

Depending on the location of the candidate, remote work is possible if not within driving distance of the San Diego office. Requires working virtually with our remote teams.
