POSITION: Sr. Director of Financial Systems and Integration

Spencer Technology is a global provider of field services and support and related offerings to channel and end users alike. Focused on infrastructure covering cabling through to all the active equipment, Spencer actively helps customers with their digital challenges supporting them with design, engineering, procurement, deployment, and aftercare needs to enable customers a cost-effective means by which to address these challenges. Spencer services a significant number of well-known brands such as Louis Vuitton, Specsavers and Swarovski.

Spencer is undergoing a Digital Transformation and Business System refresh. During this process, we take an automation-first approach to drive efficiencies throughout the operations organization. In May of 2023, we implemented Oracle NetSuite and continue to work through adopting functionality while integrating the solution throughout our Quote-to-close process. Spencer seeks a well-rounded entrepreneurial leader to take the lead in finishing the initial phases of the implementation and developing a multi-year roadmap.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Office of the CTO at Spencer is seeking a senior-level financial systems specialist, ideally with Software, Services, or Technology verticals experience (e.g. Retail, MSP, or Professional Services). This direct-hire Hybrid position is out of the Boston Metro Area.

An experienced consulting professional who has a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment in order to implement Oracle and other service automation products and technology to meet customer needs.

Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment in order to implement Oracle products and other surrounding technology to meet customer needs. May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s), ensuring high-quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. May act as the team lead on projects, providing coaching, guidance, and feedback to develop the skills of team members. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. Participates in business development activities. Develops and leads detailed solutions for moderately complex projects.

6-8 years of experience relevant to this position. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members. Ability to travel to office in Medway, Massachusetts 3-4 days a week as needed.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Participate in the identification and documentation of customer’s NetSuite value gaps leveraging our proprietary SuiteReview methodology
• Participate in driving the approach to remediate gaps
• Work with Finance Team to remediate highest priority gaps
• Architect solutions for complex business requirements, which may include configuration and/or integration and/or technical components, in partnership with our dedicated Digital Transformation Team
• Define detailed functional requirements for automations and integrations to NetSuite and Hubspot CRM
• Work with DX team to design and unit test automations and integrations
• Perform quality reviews of deliverables developed by other team members
• Continue to increase product knowledge and pursue relevant certifications
• Collaboration with other Operational teams, including Customer Delivery Managers (CDMs), PMs, SD/HD, Logistics, Production and Sales Operations.
• Follow essential internal business processes aligned toward delighting our Customers
  
  

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of overall relevant domain experience in one or more of NetSuite’s core vertical markets
• Strong NetSuite ERP experience - competing ERP offerings may be considered
• 2+ years of external consulting role experience with sustained C-suite interactions
• Experience with defining requirements for complex customizations and integrations
• Proven custom development analysis, design, and testing skills
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge and experience with SuiteProjects, Advanced Revenue, SuiteBilling and other advanced accounting processes
• Ability to evolve Customer business processes based on leading iPaas practices
• Passion for driving Customer satisfaction
• Project and/or team leadership experience
• Finance and/or Accounting professional and/or academic background a plus
• NetSuite ERP Consultant or other relevant product certifications a plus
• Ability to leverage a team of people with a broad range of functional, process, change management, and technical skills
• Ability to synthesize information into a coherent story, strategic vision, and implementation roadmap
• Travel Requirement: Minimum 10-15%
