Environmental Engineer, Scientist, or Geologist

The client is seeking an Environmental Engineer, Scientist, or Geologist to join their collaborative team in Philadelphia, PA. This individual will play a key role in conducting site exploration activities, including contaminated site investigation and remediation, soil and groundwater sampling, vapor intrusion investigation, remedial investigation, design, implementation, and monitoring, as well as data management and report preparation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with top industry leadership on a diverse and complex portfolio of environmental projects within a continuous learning environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform field inspections and environmental investigations.
- Conduct air, soil, gas, and groundwater sampling, and remediation of contaminated properties.
- Assist with planning and executing field investigations by logging borings, collecting samples, performing field tests, and recording data. Perform routine and special calculations.
- Oversee remediation activities and subcontractors in the field, ensuring compliance with job specifications.
- Identify and implement solutions to routine and complex field and/or laboratory problems, accurately documenting results; communicate with your supervisor on any issues encountered at project sites.
- Assist with the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and plans; manage and evaluate data; and contribute to environmental assessment and remediation.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- 0-2 years of relevant work experience; prior internships or professional experience are preferred.
- Candidates with an engineering degree are preferred to have EIT Certification or current registration for the FE exam.
- Strong technical education, professional demeanor, and a desire to learn.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Possess a valid driver’s license in good standing and have reliable transportation for access to remote job sites.
- Availability to work overtime as needed.
