Job Summary

ERM is seeking a highly skilled Principal Consultant, Design Engineer to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As a key member of our Contaminated Site Management service line, you will be responsible for managing and providing technical expertise on site investigation and remediation projects for a variety of clients with complex technical/regulatory issues in the power, chemical, transportation, and other manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and negotiate remedial solutions for contaminated soil and groundwater, using innovative and emerging remedial treatment technologies as well as traditional systems.
  • Interact with scientists in the site investigation, risk management, and planning disciplines as integrated teams as well as engineers in design and construction.
  • Oversee multiple projects within client's scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
  • Appropriately delegate project assignments to project teams and mentor junior staff.
  • Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business to grow the Site Investigation and Remediation service area in the eastern US.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in-place, and eligibility for reciprocity of PE licensure held in other states.
  • 6+ years of relevant technical experience.
  • Experience and ability to design and implement multiple remediation technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project resourcing and scheduling, AutoCAD-based design, GIS and construction management skill sets.
