ComResource is looking for an Agile Coach.
We need a person who can be a servant leader and coach for a Cohort (Squad of Squads) which could be in support of a singular, large product, or a mix of products focused on a cross-product initiative, who is responsible for maximizing the flow of value created by the collection of squads.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Cohort events (Squad of Squads) such as Cohort Increment Planning, Scrum of Scrums, Solution Demo, Cohort Inspect & Adapt, etc.
- Design dashboards to provide squads roll-up metrics for program-level reporting
- Teach/Participate in Cohort Leadership Trio in managing Product roadmap and progress tracking using Jira & Jira Portfolio plugin
- Remove or facilitate the removal of Systemic Impediments at Cohort level
- Guard squads to help them focus on valuable work
- Partner with people managers to provide the competencies and skills needed to enable the environment for results
- Coach Squad ATFs within Cohort to foster the flow of value delivery
- Facilitate/Collaborate Cross-squads and cross-cohorts impacts and risk management
- Facilitate/ Coordinate the integration of Squad’s Increment within Cohort
- Guide Agile Team Facilitators on impediments removal
- Partner with Solution owners and Delivery Managers to ensure awareness of Total Cost of Ownership, and balance the prioritization of technical debt and SRT fixes
- Facilitate positive relationships and harmonious collaboration with the Business Product Manager and Product Owner
- Protect the autonomy of Squads, allowing for self-organization without outside influence
- Encourage interactions and collaboration to foster value delivery
- Encourages and enables open and honest communication among the Squads
- Situationally applies the values and principles of both agile and lean in practice
- Serve the Cohort Leadership Trio to achieve their objectives
- Ensure Cohort events are effective and achieve its desired outcomes
- Teach/Coach on visual management practices
- Coach Employees on Operating model at scale
- Help the organization towards empiricism and culture of continuous improvement
Essentials:
- 6+ years of experience performing as an Agile team member such as Agile Team Facilitator / Coach
- Certified in at least one common agile scaling framework (e.g., Release Train Engineer (RTE), etc.)
- Advanced experience using Jira & Jira Portfolio plugin
- Strong business acumen (Healthcare experience and familiarity amongst leaders)
- Relevant Domain Subject Matter Expertise in Healthcare industry
- Experience using remote collaboration tools (e.g. Miro, MS Teams, MS Whiteboard, etc.) for large group facilitation
- Coaching and mentoring scrum masters on best agile practices
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- First-level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I)
- Experience playing the Agile Team Facilitator role for at least three years or more for a software development team that was following Scrum values, principles, and practices
- Servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment, and enabling transparency
- Knowledge of multiple agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, XP, FDD, etc.) and awareness of differences
- Experience in at least one common agile scaling framework (e.g. SAFe, LeSS, DAD, SoS, etc.)
- Experience in at least one common agile workflow tool (e.g., Jira, CA Central/Rally, VersionOne, AgileCraft, etc.)
