Job Summary:

The Ashbrook Hotel is looking to hire a detail-oriented and proactive Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring cleanliness, orderliness, and a high standard of guest satisfaction. The Housekeeping Supervisor supervises a team of housekeeping staff, coordinates cleaning activities, and maintains inventory levels of cleaning supplies.

Responsibilities:

  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to the housekeeping staff, ensuring efficient and thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to promptly address any maintenance issues or guest requests.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the hotel, ensuring a visually appealing and comfortable environment for guests.
  • Ensure that all cleaning equipment and supplies are properly maintained and used in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Address any guest concerns or complaints related to housekeeping, taking prompt action to resolve issues and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to source high-quality cleaning products and equipment at competitive prices.
  • Assist in developing and managing the housekeeping department budget, monitoring expenses, and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to the housekeeping staff, promoting professional growth and excellence in service delivery.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback and recognition for accomplishments while addressing areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional education in hospitality or related field preferred).
  • Proven experience in a housekeeping supervisory role within the hotel industry.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
