Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Delegate Hotel is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department. The successful candidate will ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and a high standard of guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to the housekeeping staff, ensuring efficient and thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to promptly address any maintenance issues or guest requests.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the hotel, ensuring a visually appealing and comfortable environment for guests.
- Ensure that all cleaning equipment and supplies are properly maintained and used in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Address any guest concerns or complaints related to housekeeping, taking prompt action to resolve issues and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to source high-quality cleaning products and equipment at competitive prices.
- Assist in developing and managing the housekeeping department budget, monitoring expenses, and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to the housekeeping staff, promoting professional growth and excellence in service delivery.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback and recognition for accomplishments while addressing areas for improvement.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and a strong service-oriented culture.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize staff and guests' accidents, injuries, and health risks.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education in hospitality or related field preferred).
- Proven experience in a housekeeping supervisory role within the hotel industry.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and quality standards.
- Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in using housekeeping management systems and software.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
