Job DescriptionJob Description

As a Structural Design Technician, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our structural engineers to develop construction drawings for a wide range of structure types and clients. Produce drawings using Revit, MicroStation, AutoCAD, GeoPak/OpenRoads and other design software. We work with laser scanning, photogrammetry, and drones to capture existing conditions and integrate into new designs. This position also provides the opportunity to go on-site to assist with structure inspections including bridges, parking structures, and buildings.

The preferred candidate must be able to learn quickly, figure things out on their own, be creative, be willing to tackle challenging issues, and work with little supervision. Knowing how to code and/or use MicroStation is a plus. Dynamo, AutoLISP, Python, SQL, and/or .net knowledge can be a valuable asset to all departments.

Requirements for the role:

  • Two year Technical Degree or Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of relevant job experience
  • Proficient in Revit and MicroStation.
  • Structural detailing experience (steel, concrete, and/or bridge)
  • Must be a creative, quick learner who can work independently
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate that s/he can perform all of the essential functions of the position.
